Ok so Friday was Day 1 Week 7 – I worked out in the morning, held off on point-heavy foods but had an emergency around noon which meant I kind of missed lunch. Despite having a treat later, I kept myself in my daily points!
Saturday Day 2 Week 7 – good morning, eating an all-bran breakfast bar for 3 pts and keeping off the munching but forgetting about my 3-hour rule. By the time I went to have “dinner” I slipped on pizza early and didn’t have another need for food all night (slow metabolism)
Sunday Day 3 Week 7 – breakfast: turkey dinner (right!) I marked it up to but no more than an 8-pointer (thanks to portion control) but realize that my grandparents — the two people who continue to remind about my weight problems and my godmother who has also made mention of her own weight struggle for the greater half of my 26 years — are the WORST factors in my life for sticking to a proper diet. They mix the emotional obligations with the impracticality of EVERYTHING. I love them but… I need to figure out how to say “I’ll come by but I won’t be eating” without making it an issue. I had a light lunch – 1 egg. Dealt with my mother’s brow-beating over it (happy Mother’s Day everyone. Happy Birthday Mom). and then a dinner at an italian restaurant ordering boiled salmon topped with carmelized onions and a side of linguini alfredo (95% of which came home with me). I then speedwalked with the dogs for 30 minutes and about 2 km.
Today – Day 4 Week 7 – I worked out for an hour: 15 min of stairmaster, weight-lighted on the ball, crunches on the ball, three meager sets on the captain’s chair and then 15 min on the cross trainer and 20 min on the bike. I’m pooped and my stomach muscles aren’t working anymore
Overall I realize that ya, this is going to be hard, but I have to take accountability for what I eat. I have to on a daily basis work off whatever extras I put in.
